CASTING DIRECTOR, CGA
Ally has studied various streams of performance.
She is a keen educator, having taught drama, screen acting, music theatre, dance, comedy and improvisation for stage and screen.
She has always known that the entertainment industry is where she needed to be, so began working as a Casting Director in 2016 and has since helped cast hundreds of TVC’s, modelling campaigns, and online content.
Ally has built great working relationships with directors, clients and talent by creating a welcoming and collaborative space where all can thrive.
She loves being in the room with actors of all levels of experience and always endeavours to get the best out of everyone she works with.
ellie honigman
CASTING DIRECTOR, CGA
Ellie has always had a passion for the Australian film and television industry and has a keen eye for emerging homegrown talent.
In 2014, Ellie started her career behind the camera and has since gained years of industry experience as both a Casting Director and Talent Agent, having worked at multiple agencies in Melbourne and London.
She loves a deadline and thrives under the fast-paced nature of the industry, hitting her stride with highlighter in hand, crossing her t’s and dotting her lower-case j’s to get the best cast for the job!
Ellie has created excellent professional relationships with agents, producers and actors in Australia, always going above and beyond.

Ally Reynolds and Ellie Honigman’s journey began in 2007, having met through mutual friends. Their same off-the-wall sense of humour and a passion for the arts ensured these two creatives would cross paths again. Fast forward ten years where they found themselves working together at one of Melbourne’s leading casting agencies, each gaining experience in all aspects of the casting process.
Northside Casting is committed to providing a child safe and child friendly environment, where children have the right to be heard, feel safe and comfortable. All staff at Northside Casting are holders of a current Working with Children's Check.
Ally & Ellie’s skills extend across all aspects of the casting process, where they love overseeing each project from start to finish. They share not only a similar name but a love for quoting obscure Australian comedy references. When not casting various projects, the two can be heard giggling while reciting 90s comedy skits or belting out Australian classics. One of them is a trained singer; the other tries her best.
Nestled in the leafy back streets of Melbourne, Northside Casting is located at 168 Cardigan St Carlton. Situated just one block from Melbourne’s iconic Lygon St, with ample street parking and public transport opportunities, Northside Casting is close to the city but still north of the river.
